Kokaine

Hello and welcome to TheKGL website from all the KGL Admin Staff.

This thread is here to give some information about the KGL and instruction overviews for the way the website will be run and what we need from you as users and clans to make sure it runs efficiently and meets all your needs.

After running two KGL Seasons on our own Kokaine Clansite we have decided to give the League and Events its own home to enable us to utilise the XippY facilities better without the conflict of everyday Clan Management.
We are aware that XippY has its limitations but I hope you will see that the Admin Team have put alot of work into the content and setup of the site to help get over some of the problems and issues that may be encountered.

As you may have seen, every Clan Member of the KGL Clans have already been signed up to the site, not an enviable task I might add (credit to Karen), and have been put into the appropriate roster with the appropriate rank. The details of each Clans Memberships logins will be PMed to the Clan Leader on our Kokaine website. Any member who is missing from the roster and indeed the userbase of this site should sign up to this site and have their CL or DCL post in THIS FORUM SECTION where we can sort it out.
We gleaned the information for the signups from our Kokaine site, clans own websites and other league/event websites to ensure we had the details of the clans as correct as we possibly could. It is expected that there will be some mistakes and ask that you inform us in THIS FORUM SECTION where we will sort it out ASAP.

Important KGL will be enforcing individual player registration as mandatory for participation in any KGL events from the commencement of KGL season 3. If a player has not properly completed registration on their supplied account they will be ineligible to play even if rostered. Ensure all of your team logon to their already created account and change their password, update their email address and make any other required changes.

The other good thing about the XippY is the way we have been able to use it to enable a private set of forums for the KGL Clans. Only site members who have been added to the "Clan" by the KGL forums will be able to see what forums there are and what is in them. We feel this gives you guys a more pleasant atmosphere to have a chat, joke and carry on and serious discussions without the flame tards and trolls ruining it the way it usually turns out in so many other league forums.
The ranks of the KGL Clan Members dictate which forums they have access to on this site. CLs and DCLs will have access to 3 more forums than normal Clan Members. This is simply to facilitate match and league administration between the Clan Leaderships and the Admins. I would advise all users to familiarise themselves with our KGL Forum Rules and Standards and our TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Also all forum sections are furnished with a Posting Guidance sticky to make it easy and clear what that section is to be used for.

Even with the limitations of XippY we have been able to do some quite interesting things to enable more efficient League and Event management from what was experienced in Season 1&2.
Every Clan has been put into a SQUAD on this site which allows for FIXTURE PLANNERS and RESULTS PAGES for each clan. This system also allows us to input Steam IDs for all Clan members which can be easily accessible for ID checks etc. Unfortunately the fixtures and results for each clan will still need to be input by the KGL Admins but it does make for a tidier way to have them setup for viewing etc.

So. All that is left for me to do is to thank you all, on behalf of the KGL Admin Team, for participating in our events to date and into the future. We hope this new site will prove to make a good thing even better.
